| Abstract | The report from this meeting is in two parts. The first part (Discussion and Recommendations) contains briefings, project status reports and news of various research activities on Malus and Pyrus genetic resources. A set of recommendations dealing with the European Malus and Pyrus Databases, the new FAO/IPGRI multicrop passport descriptors, and for the collection, evaluation and use of wild relatives were made. The second part (Communications and Papers) presents 24 reports on European national germplasm collections and conservation activities. Seven appendices include a list of participants. |
