Abstract The effects of 12 fungicides used in wheat cv. Pajero on predatory wasp A. rhopalosiphi adults were determined. More than 100 Sitobion avenae were placed on treated wheat leaves, ears and stems for 1 h, and then predators were placed in the infested plant parts for 24 h to determine the deterrent effect of the fungicide and to assess lethal effects. Amistar pro [azoxystrobin], Bufalo, Duett, Libero, Mentor, Punch SE [flusilazole], Sportak delta [cyproconazole + prochloraz], Stereo, Triumph [isazofos] and Zenit were harmless to adult wasps and reduced parasitism by not more than 25% compared to the control. Boscor [fenpropidin + fenpropimorph] was slightly harmful and reduced parasitism by 26.2%, while Matador [lambda-cyhalotrin] was moderately harmful and reduced parasitism by 50.5%.
