Building Alfred Serge Balachowsky

Alfred Serge Balachowsky (1901-1983), a French entomologist, devoted his life and research to pushing the boundaries of biological control – of which he was a pioneer – against pests such as crop pests and diseases, using living organisms. He was among the first to denounce the dangers of the reckless use of synthetic pesticides.
