In recent years, a new range of portable spectrometers has appeared on the market. The compact size of these new instruments allows us to directly access the sample and work with raw (undried, unground) products. The Product Quality and Authentication Unit is equipped with approximately ten portable near-infrared spectrometers and two mobile platforms equipped with imagers. Studies are being conducted on all types of agricultural and agri-food products to assess the feasibility of analyzing these products at their production/processing site.
