As part of efforts to strengthen international scientific collaborations, The unit 12 of the CRA-W welcomed, on 28–29 May 2026, a delegation consisting of three researchers from the Valencian Institute for Agricultural Research (IVIA) and two representatives from the UPV (Universidad Politécnica of Valencia).
The visit provided an opportunity to organize a workshop aimed at presenting the different research topics developed within the three institutions. The discussions helped identify several areas of scientific convergence and define new opportunities for collaboration within future research projects.
The workshop generated strong interest and led to particularly fruitful exchanges. Several priority topics were identified for further collaboration, including the development of a common protocol for model transfer between different types of near-infrared spectroscopic instruments, with a particular focus on hyperspectral imaging. Participants also explored the potential of combining data from different sensors to improve the accuracy and robustness of the results obtained.
This meeting helped strengthen existing ties between the partners and laid the foundations for future joint scientific initiatives, thereby fostering the development of innovative solutions in the fields of agriculture and agri-food product analysis.
