Abstract The production of conidia by resting spores of Conidiobolus obscurus was studied in the laboratory in Belgium under different conditions of temperature, light and substrate (including its water content and desiccation rate), and the influence of temperature and light on the germination of spores in water was also studied, with a view to improving the production of this fungus and possibly others for aphid control.
